History of the $100 Trillion Dollars banknote
Until shortly before 2009, the Zimbabwean government spent nearly a decade printing very large denominations of banknotes. Starting with denominations from 2 dollars, in 1980, rising considerably with inflation, until reaching the infamous amount of 100,000,000,000,000 dollars (100 Trillion from the numerical perspective of "short scale" of the english speaking nations, or 100 Billions from the numerical perspective of "long scale", used by Spanish-speaking countries).
The $100 Trillion Dollar bill was issued on January 16, 2009, along with the $20 and $50 Trillion denominations.

Despite being one of the banknotes with the largest number of zeros ever issued, the Zimbabwean $100 Trillion Dollars note has no face value, as it was withdrawn from circulation shortly after it was issued.
